Lowcountry Turners will be entering a collaborative project in the 2016 American Association of Woodturners Annual International Symposium, to be held June 9-12 in Atlanta. We’re looking for turners who’d like to be a part of the winning team! If you’d like to volunteer, please contact Roy Yarger. We would like to have our team assembled by the end of the year.
Lowcountry Turners will be holding an online raffle to raise funds for club business. Our members have generously donated some of their finest turned projects as prizes in the Lowcountry Turners raffle. You’ll have the opportunity to buy a raffle ticket for each of the items you’d like to take home. And with a limited number of raffle tickets sold per item, you’ll have a great chance of winning! Proceeds will support Lowcountry Turners club business, including paying experts to teach and offer workshops, expanding our outreach through advertising, buying teaching equipment and funding scholarships to turning camps.
The raffle page is scheduled to go live by September 30, 2015. Check back here for updates.

Our next Lowcountry Turners meeting is Thursday, August 28. Pat Harris, a South Carolina turner, will be demonstrating the turning of an ornamental bird feeder. The meeting will be at The Guild Hall in Savannah. All are welcome.
