Our next meeting is at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18th at the White Bluff Campus of Savannah Technical College. Our demonstrator will be Ed Malesky. Ed recently had a commission to make some laser-engraved shallow bowls out of 8/4 kiln dried material and plans to share this experience with the LCT. He will be turning one of these shallow bowls. Ed is a highly skilled wood turner and has served as president of the Northeast Florida Woodturners’ Association, he is chairman of the group that puts together the Florida Woodturning Symposium every February at the Lake Yale Baptist Center, and is president of the Jacksonville area Turning Arts Group.
